What´s International Women Empowerment Events and what´s the purpose of this event?
Her Way to the Top International Women Empowerment Events (IWEE) is committed to enabling personal and educational empowerment for Asian women which will, in turn, lead to economic, social and political empowerment. We will be working collectively to address the internal and external challenges faced by women. IWEE’s team strongly believes that on the road to empowerment and equality, women must join hands across borders as they are #InThisTogether.
The team hopes to ignite empowerment in Asian women by providing guidance and support at both local and global level through training and coaching in areas of personal development, leadership, entrepreneurship, financial mindset, attachment theory, conscious parenting, sexual harassment & domestic abuse, social media awareness, health &well-being to name a few and several other gender-focused topics, with actionable outcomes and localized training interventions. IWEE also hopes to encourage both the public and private sectors to help support and empower women while accelerating growth for their own workforce and businesses.

Nowadays there a lot of events that claim they want to empower women, what´s the difference between IWEE and the other ones in the market?
Our model makes us unique:
Our team comprises of strong empowered Asia women who have crushed stereotypes and overcome challenges and are inspirational in their own right. They are not just speakers but certified coaches, therapists, and mentors who are known internationally and have an international following- each woman is successfully running her own business/ businesses. All these women have come together with a common mission-to truly empower Asian women. Being of Asian origin themselves gives the team the distinctive advantage of being fully aware of the challenges and pain points as well as the societal and cultural barriers that are holding back Asian women.
IWEE is not just an event company that does conferences. We have a strong follow-up program in place. After every conference participants will not only get access to conference training and additional training, they will also be able to participate in quarterly live group coaching to address any problems they may have encountered. The purpose of this follow-up is to connect and apply what they learned in the conference to real-life business and work challenges. We want to eventually localize all this training content and reach the grass root level. We are a huge fan of surveys and research and hence all our training are substantiated by actual findings. Furthermore, we wish to customize programs according to each country’s needs and priorities.
We believe in edutainment/ education plus entertainment and that’s why in our conferences you will not only learn but will also have fun and rejuvenate. Exercises & activities are an integral part of our conferences. We at IWEE acknowledge that in order to progress, we need male allies and hence IWEE in collaboration with its partners have identified male ambassadors who will advocate and champion women empowerment and equality at all levels. We want to create an international network wherein we will connect Asia women with the rest of the women because we strongly believe that we are in this together. We also want to promote Asian female role models internationally
Why organize the event in the Maldives?
As a small island country in South Asia, the Maldives ranks at 106 out of 144 nations in a 2017 global gender gap report. There are about 420,000 people in the Maldives and its population density is among the top ten nations in the world. Women’s empowerment in the Maldives has been a much talked about topic for a long time.
The Maldives is an exciting country to hold an IWEE an event in because of the enormous amount of underutilized female talent with considerable untapped potential. Additionally, this is an auspicious time in the Maldives, with the new government appointing 6 women to cabinet positions which clearly evidences the government's strong inclination towards gender balance.
Who can attend and why should they participate in this conference?
Even though it’s a women empowerment event, men are most welcome to attend as well as many of the topics can benefit them too. Furthermore, it is a good opportunity for men to make themselves aware of the challenges their female counterparts face. Working professionals, as well as
businessmen and women from both private and public sector, should participate because when we talk about women empowerment, it should be the responsibility of everyone equally not just women or specific sectors.
