Intermoda, Latin America’s leading fashion business exhibition, unveiled the full program of its 85th edition during a press conference, reaffirming its position as the region’s most influential meeting point for industry innovation, trends, and commercial development. According to the official statement, the event will take place from July 21 to 24 at Expo Guadalajara, continuing a four‑decade legacy of connecting creativity with business opportunities.
Under the motto “Sabemos de moda, hacemos negocios”, Intermoda 85 strengthens its role as a comprehensive platform designed to support a sector in constant transformation. Newly appointed President Jaime Barba emphasized that one of his core objectives is to expand Intermoda’s international reach: “strengthen Intermoda’s international projection… promoting the participation of international exhibitors and buyers, as well as the development of strategic alliances.”
Knowledge Platforms Take Center Stage
This edition reinforces Intermoda’s educational and strategic content through IM Talks its conference and panel forum, and Mindset, the workshop‑driven space focused on specialized training. The program will feature respected industry voices such as Gustavo Prado, Jessica Marmolejo, Ada Jolly, and Manu Castillo (Manu Styling).
Mexican designer Jesús de la Garsa highlighted Intermoda’s impact on emerging talent, noting that the platform has been instrumental in launching new creative voices. He will return to the Fashion Space runway* with *Supernova*, marking his comeback ten years after his first appearance at the event.
IM Experiences: A New Stage for Emerging Brands
Ernesto Hernández, Intermoda’s General Director, introduced one of the major innovations of this edition: IM Experiences, a new space designed to amplify visibility for brands within the Trending pavilion. Through nine dedicated runways, this initiative will connect emerging labels directly with buyers, specialized media, and key industry stakeholders.
The main programming will also include 15 Fashion Space runways, showcasing leading Mexican designers such as Carlos Pineda, Grecia Soto, Paulina Luna, Macario Jiménez, and Edher Gin, who will close the event. The edition will further integrate activations celebrating creativity, design, and innovation, with a strong focus on emerging talent through Trending and IM Impulsa.
Beauty Zone: Expanding the Business Ecosystem
Another highlight announced by Hernández is **Beauty Zone**, a new area that incorporates beauty‑focused brands and proposals that naturally complement the fashion industry. This addition broadens Intermoda’s commercial offering and reinforces its vision as an integrated business platform.
A Growing International Audience
Intermoda expects more than 30,000 visitors, supported by a 10% increase in registrations compared to the previous edition. Over 1,000 brands will exhibit across 1,600 stands, representing 24 Mexican states and 14 countries, underscoring the event’s expanding global footprint.
