The Exclusive Welum Coffee Table Book – an art piece by Sara Bøgh
Each art book features a special painted cover and artistic hand-painted illustrations by Sara Bøgh. Inside is the original first edition Welum coffee table book, but each of the exclusive art books is a unique, one-of-a-kind, specialized piece. Only 20 books of this kind will be available for purchase at a price of 300USD each.
In the artist's own words:
My work explores storytelling and concepts. I aspire to create stories that can evoke curiosity and reflection in the viewer. Mythology, magic, nature, culture and the human existence, are but some of the recurring themes I work with.
I most often start my illustrations by working with analogue mediums— sketching works by hand, whereof some are finished digitally depending on the nature of the project.
I find inspiration through observation. The immediate world around me seen through my inherent multicultural lens, observations of human behaviour, reflected in my own experience, my idols, my relations, and my personal experience, make for a varied source of inspiration, visibly reflected in the diversity of work I produce.
