Who is Anel García? Define to yourself
A woman who always likes to sow effort, order, and work, to achieve goals accomplished and generate sources of employment, I am a person committed to my country and with the aim of positively mobilizing her economy.
How were you as a kid?
Cheerful, naughty, and lively, eager to explore and know more, shared, I never liked injustices, I think that marked the beginning of my current work. I would also like to emphasize that from a very young time I had the ease and taste for sales, to forge something of my own and that in turn it generated well-being for others.
“Specializing will always be for those of us who seek continuous improvement that is reflected in providing services of excellence”
You hold a Bachelor´s degree in law at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and Graduated from the Senior Management Program at IPADE, why did you choose those courses of study?
One of the ways forward is to learn, I think it is essential to be in the field where you are never to stop training, innovation is part of life, specializing will always be for those of us who seek continuous improvement that is reflected in providing services of excellence.
You were awarded with the Medal of Merit in recognition of your professional career for three years in a row by The Mexican Bar Association, your company is the Leading Law Firm in the Top Ranking, The Best Lawyers in Mexico 2020 edition, you have written several articles in different media outlets, you were named as the entrepreneurship success case by INADEM-Ministry of Economy, in the book "365 ways to undertake and innovate". what´s the recipe for your success?
Generating #ActoMultiplicador, is part of my philosophy, helping others through the tools you have access to, promoting the well-being and development of those in need, is positive both personally and for society.
Do you have any philosophy that guides your career decisions?
"Intelligence has no gender", I have focused on being a professional of my work with order and discipline, breaking down the ideological barriers that marked the generation of which I belong, promoting the development of the most equitable entrepreneurial ecosystem has been a challenge, which I have faced through #ActoMultiplicador
What does a normal workday look like for you?
I believe that success goes entirely hand in hand with your daily agenda, the actions you take on a day-to-day basis will be the goals you achieve. So, a working day for me is composed of multidisciplinary activities focused on both short- and long-term results.
"Intelligence has no gender, I have focused on being a professional of my work with order and discipline, breaking down the ideological barriers that marked the generation of which I belong”
What do you love most about your job? & what is the most difficult part?
What I like most is knowing that I help move the economy by generating sources of employment. As well as promoting the correct business functionality of the customers with which we are happy to collaborate. The hardest thing being a leader is sometimes to re-edit individuals towards an approach of commitment and excellence in their work for delivering optimal results.
What is one strategy that has helped you to grow your business?
Constant learning and renewal, the team remains in continuous training, at Whitaker Mexico Business & Consulting, we are clear as strategic partners, working together with a focus on results.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Living with my family and friends is always enriching. Travel and see the world from different approaches through the eyes of different cultures.
Many authors say women can and must strive to have everything – a shining career, a blossoming family life, and a perfectly balanced lifestyle all at once, others point out that– then women are placing unrealistic expectations on themselves if they believe they can have it all, I don´t know if you are married and have kids, so according to your experience, what do you think about these statements?
I consider that for all there is time, the key point is to know how to manage correctly, it is not that high or unreal expectations are created, otherwise to find the balance so that in a proper way time is distributed for each stage, of course easy is not, but it is just what increases its value.
What are your plans?
Strengthen the firm through innovation, as it is undoubtedly the essential tool to face the new normal. Transcend borders and forge new global strategic alliances. Continue to learn in every aspect, to project it positively in my personal and professional tasks.
“ It is important to recognize our strengths and visualize as potential allies men”
There is still the glass ceiling for women in the world: Fewer opportunities, jobs underpaid just for that fact of being a woman, etc. Have you experimented with the glass ceiling? If yes, what are the biggest challenges you have faced and how have you overcome them?
I reiterate my philosophy "Intelligence has no gender", it is important to recognize our strengths and visualize as potential allies men. Less and less the gap of equitable opportunities, it was my turn to live in an age with more taboos where women's empowerment was not so strong, however, it has been up to us to work to break the so-called glass ceiling and move forward firmly to achieve the goal of generating a more equitable society, there are still areas where the work to achieve it is enough, but we must continue in the work.
What tips, can you give to young girls who want to become like you?
Set a clear goal and act day by day to achieve it, realistic goals that are passionate about them because working with a focus on results, in an orderly and constant way, the paths that lead to success are broken. At first as everything will not be easy, but along the way they must learn to accept constructive criticism to channel it to positive and move forward, remove the bandage called ego and visualize beyond emotions, reason with the 5 senses, without letting the obstacles that arise make them give up their goals. It is very important that they rely on a mentor who walks them up and adds experience to them, shares part of what it entails to undertake from scratch, it is also what I call generating the #ActoMultiplicador, that is why I like to add as a mentor new entrepreneur.

I think in your position, many people may have the wrong idea of who you are, and what do you (professionally), with this idea in mind, what is being Anel and what´s not?
I am passionate about my work, dedicated to 100% or more to generate positive changes in the companies to which I have the honor of contributing. No one is perfect clear, we must visualize behind the ego that sometimes there are stumbles and mistakes but learning from them and transforming them into experiences and lessons, is what will help us find balance, between duty to being.
Who is the woman you admire the most and why?
To my mother, of course, I admire her work and dedication to my sisters and me. I will teach us not to give up and seek our goal of life, to channel us to be both independent and productive, to be factors of change.
