INTERMODA SUCCESSFULLY FINISHED ITS EDITION 77

Big business, thousands of buyers, hundreds of exhibitors, the drive to Jalisco manufacturers and the visit of multiple personalities framed the 4 days of exposure.

The fashion industry was reactivated again at Intermoda. Its 77th edition was held on Tuesday, July 12 and culminated on Friday, July 15 at Expo Guadalajara with great achievements: More than 20 thousand visitors, as well as the presence of 600 companies and 950 national and international brands.

The fair reaffirmed its place as the most essential fashion business meeting in Latin America, thanks to a total of 12 pavilions aimed at different market segments and distributed in more than 40 thousand square meters: Lady, Knight, Accessories, Footwear, Supplier, Gala, Children’s, International, Trending (designers and collectives), Emprende IM (businesses with commercial line), Chou Room (urban fashion) and Moda Jalisco.

Moda Jalisco was one of the most attractive novelties of the 77th edition of Intermoda. In its first delivery, this pavilion brought together clothing manufacturers to demonstrate this entity's production capacity.

Precisely, Moda Jalisco was one of the most attractive novelties of the 77th edition of brands from this State of Mexico, were present on the exhibition floor as a strategy to promote what was made in Mexico.

The program of Intermoda 77 was composed 13 conferences, 13 fashion performances, 8 specialized workshops, 19 gastronomic experiences and 11 beauty experiences, including 5 masterclasses, shaped countless free activities that enriched the visit of buyers at all times, exhibitors and members of the specialized press.

The highlights of the exhibition

Among the most special moments of the 77th edition of Intermoda were:

Fashion in Fashion Space:

With a high-level production that brought together models, musicalization, lighting and audiovisual proposals, important designers, as well as exclusive firms presented their collections.

Among the 13 presentations, there was the participation of Pineda Covalin, luxury firm in charge of inaugurating Fashion Space with its collection "Movement", the renowned Benito Santos, who accentuated the diversity of silhouettes in a true explosion of color, the contemporary presentation of the brand Vanebon, whose collection transported to a fantastic world of marine inspiration and Galo Bertín, brand that closed the program to surprise with its high design in men’s fashion.

IM Talks:

In the voice of Gustavo Prado, director of the renowned trends Mexican agency Trendo, the day of 13 conferences began with the theme "Year 2023: The blue future for the fashion industry".

On the other hand, the Keynotes were in charge of the journalist Lucy Lara with the theme "Fashion is inspiration, business and change" and Jaime Flores, who is Senior Director Supply Marketing Latin America of Cotton Incorporated with "Changes in the wardrobe, a study among Mexicans".

Also highlighted with great forum talks such as "The new window dressing" by Susana Castillo, president of the Mexican Association of Visual Merchandising and the panel "Identity: The magic behind footwear, bags and accessories", which brought together fashion expert Luis Enrique Bolívar, shoe designer Karen Ruz, bag designer Carolina Crowley and Cloe brand manager Fidel González.

The innovation of Trend Zone

One of the most amazing spaces of Intermoda 77 was Trend Zone. The space brought design, fashion, technology, and consumer trends to visitors; through a curatorship and information from important allies such as Fashion Snoops, WGSN and Trendo, this area served to know and confirm these trends. More than 800 products were exhibited to exemplify colors, textures and more.

Trend Zone also offered MINDSET, a program of workshops and conferences to deepen the themes of design, innovation, technology and sustainability. Among the speakers was fashion analyst Anna Fusoni with the theme "What does design mean for the consumer in 2022?" and designer Elizabeth Salim with the talk "NFT’s, cryptos and metaverse: the future of millionaire fashion businesses", among others.

The next edition of intermoda will be held from 17 to 20 January 2023.
