IWEE’s mission for Asian women is to ignite empowerment by providing guidance and support at both local and global level through training and coaching in areas of women leadership, attachment theory, finance, sexual harassment, domestic abuse and other gender focused topics, with actionable outcomes and localized training interventions. IWEE also aims to encourage the private sector to help women in developing nations while accelerating growth for their own workforce and business
IWEE’s strategy is in the first instance is a 2-day conference in each country followed by a country specific follow up & localized intervention plan involving train the trainer sessions to accelerate skills development among the budding entrepreneurs and working women.
IWEE has chosen Maldives to have its launch event. The conference will be facilitated by internationals speakers from UK and US and is due to take place next month. The initiative has been well received by the Government of Maldives, UN Women, UNICEF and many others bodies.
Economic empowerment is key to women feeling secure in their personal and professional relationships, hence, IWEE (which aims to inspire and economically empower Asian women as well as connect them to women across the globe through highly cited publications, turn-key conferences and high quality training) has additionally partnered with powerful NGOS in Maldives such as Hope for Women (the main focus for which is women’s rights with a particular focus on violence against women) and Women on Boards (the main focus of which is on the economic empowerment of women and promoting women to leadership positions)
