Guadalajara as a New Epicenter of Fashion and Tourism

Volvo Fashion Week Mexico Positions

From April 14 to 17, Volvo Fashion Week Mexico (VFWMx) will take place in Guadalajara, transforming the city into a multi-venue showcase of creativity, design, and cultural identity. According to the official announcement, “fashion drives tourism and the creative economy,” and this edition reinforces Guadalajara’s role as a national fashion hub by activating some of its most iconic locations through a contemporary, city-wide format.

Announced earlier this year at FITUR Madrid, one of the world’s leading tourism fairs, VFWMx aims to strengthen the ecosystem of local designers, creatives, and brands while generating a positive impact on the region’s creative economy. The official program features twelve presentations, including: Abel López, Alfredo Martínez, Arre (by Alejandro Fernández), Benito Santos, Calderoni, Hackett London, Julia y Renata, Antonio Zaragoza of Liberal Youth Ministry, Jonathan Morales of No Name, Olmos y Flores, María Islas of Sentimiento, and Vanebon.

A City-Wide Celebration of Jalisco’s Creative Identity

VFWMx seeks to promote the state of Jalisco through fashion and tourism, positioning Guadalajara as one of Mexico’s most important creative and cultural meeting points. The event adapts to the city’s contemporary identity by presenting collections across emblematic venues such as Edificio Arroniz, Midtown Guadalajara, the Rotonda de los Jaliscienses Ilustres, Sala Roxy, and the Teatro Degollado. This multi-location approach highlights Guadalajara’s architectural richness and cultural relevance, offering international audiences a dynamic way to experience the city’s creative pulse.

Volvo’s Commitment to Design, Technology, and Conscious Living

As the official partner of VFWMx, Volvo reinforces its vision of integrating design and technology into a contemporary and conscious lifestyle. The brand emphasizes that this edition reflects its commitment to connecting Mexican creativity with a responsible and electrified future.

A Call to Celebrate Regional Creativity

The official statement describes VFWMx in Guadalajara as “a call to celebrate the region’s creative work,” inviting audiences to experience fashion through a lens that elevates tourism, culture, and Jalisco's creative identity. The event underscores how the region’s talent continues to shape Mexico’s presence within the global fashion industry.
