B Corporation (B Corp) Mini A Ture

YOU ARE NEVER TOO SMALL TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE At MINI A TURE, we wish to contribute to a world where children and future generations can grow up in peace and comfort. We are immensely proud that our efforts in reaching this goal have recently been acknowledged: In March 2021 we have become B Corporation (B Corp) certified as one of the first children’s clothing brands in the world. For B Corp companies, it is not just about being the best in the world. It is about being the best for the world.

Since MINI A TURE was founded in 2002, we have had ambitious dreams of creating something greater than a traditional children’s clothing brand. Producing garments for children should not just be about providing clothing for children. We want to inspire children to relish the great outdoors, encouraging recycling and limit harmful excess production. To achieve this, we have always aspired to produce in the most responsibly and environmentally friendly way possible, having very clear requirements for our suppliers in relation to wages and working conditions. We do not accept any kind of harmful substances, and we always use the most sustainable materials available from certified suppliers. Our B Corp certification stands as the greatest testament to these efforts.

“The rigorous criteria set for B Corp certification resonates well with our own values as a business, particularly when it comes to our beliefs about what fashion should be. We have always been highly selective when it comes to our suppliers including wages and working conditions and when it comes to the production itself, we never use any harmful chemicals and only the most sustainable materials are selected from certified suppliers” explains Signe Tholstrup, Founder & CEO, MINI A TURE.

Corporate success is not merely defined by profit A B Corp certification is the highest international standard of verified social and environmental performance. It means that MINI A TURE must commit to a series of high social sustainability standards, whilst also being highly transparent and taking full responsibility as a business, from everything from production methods to supply chains.

There are currently around 3,800 companies around the world who form part of this exclusive movement whose members include Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, and The Body Shop. MINI A TURE - alongside these illustrious members - seek to redefine what business success is measured by. Profit is no longer the decisive factor, instead these businesses choose to value the community and to make a difference for others.

“We believe it is our responsibility to teach our children to nurture and protect nature around us. When wearing MINI A TURE outerwear, neither wind nor rain can stop them from spending hours under the open sky. As such, we teach our children our ideals from an early age; that it is not enough to simply be, but that you must be something for others. You are never too young or small to make a difference.” concludes Signe.
