Latin American Fashion Summit (LAFS) elevates and enriches the fashion and design industries through several platforms, most notably, a yearly conference that brings together a powerful group of industry-related individuals, such as designers, high-level executives, buyers, media representatives, and investors.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the LAFS 2020 summit will be held online this year. Attendees can expect to hear quality content from leading industry experts and valuable networking opportunities. This year LAFS has as its central theme: PIVOTING & RESILIENCE: BOUNCING BACK STRONGER THAN EVER.
The event will be donating a percentage of ticket sales to Glasswing International, an NGO that offers food and mental health support to the unprivileged communities in Latin America. As every edition offers a curated content for the fashion industry with the best leaders of the region as Diane Von Furstenberg, Carmen Busquets, Amanda Hearst, Mercedes Salazar, Daniel Funis, Karla Martinez de Salas, Alex Badia, Ayotunde Rufai, Edgardo Osorio, Fabián Hirose, Fernando Garcia, Stefan Siegel among others.
The event will take place for 5 days from October 19 to 23, 2020. 4 sessions per day, in Eastern Time: 10 am, 1:00 pm, 4:00, 6:00 pm. All sessions live will be recorded and published on the official website https://summit.lafsvirtual.com/ and they will be available until October 26.
The panel’s themes are technological solutions, retailers changing the way we do business, going back to our roots in craftsmanship and sustainability, rethinking business models, leaders leading with success, and with the change, investments, digital marketing, and much more. A new digital platform will be launching during the event as well, “Tribu” powered by LAFS, which will be the channel through which the networking will be carried out.
Anybody can attend, the ones who are interested to get the best content in fashion and network with people in the retail industry in Latin America or the international space, or just a person that loves fashion. Students, entrepreneurs, designers, stylists, editors, CEOs, PR´s are all welcome.
