From July 23 to 25, 2019, it was held Colombiamoda, the Fashion Week of Colombia, which culminates a special edition that was transformed to fulfill its purpose of preparing the Fashion System as one of the engines of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. With the knowledge and technology as protagonists, and a radical transformation of the marketing scenarios, the foundations of the long-term strategy of the future of the Fashion System were founded.
The special edition of Colombiamoda 2019 received 11,800 specialized buyers, who enjoyed a Transformed Fair. One of the spaces were the Inexmoda Concept Market, a multi-brand retail store format, where people lived differentiating experiences and acquired special product editions of brands such as FILA, Naf Naf, Celio, and Totto.
For another side, Colombiamoda Digital was the new commitment of Colombiamoda 2019 for omnichannel, where brands energized their electronic fashion stores and activated their digital strategies.
From the Colombiamoda 2019 trade show, the new bet of Inexmoda was oriented towards the professionalization of business, through a segmented and specialized exhibition by markets to generate a more assertive business dynamic. These renovated spaces received 11,800 buyers: 12% international mainly from countries such as the United States, Ecuador and Mexico; and 88% national, from departments such as Antioquia, Cundinamarca and Valle del Cauca; they connected with 475 brands in search of wholesale distribution, of the categories Women, Men, Children, Footwear and Leather Goods, Mixed, Jewelry and Jewelry. Within the offer offered were international brands from countries such as Colombia, Portugal, Peru, Mexico, and Brazil;
From Textiles2, the scenario that prepares the industry for the second half of the year and that presents textiles, supplies and complete package to respond to commercial needs, 106 brands from countries such as Colombia, Mexico and the United States met; and from departments such as Antioquia, Cundinamarca and Valle del Cauca. According to the survey firm Invamer, in a matter of a year, commercial opportunities of up to USD 143 million could be closed.
Talent and creativity in Fashion Week of Colombia. More than 50 fashion moments made the fans of the Fashion System, evidence in 25 catwalks, 10 stagings in The Cube and 9 Trunk Shows. The importance of Colombian design, recognized for its creativity, talent, entrepreneurship, and its international projection continues to strengthen Colombia's position as the epicenter of Latin American fashion.
The Inexmoda-UPB Knowledge Pavilion convened national and international experts to discuss the future of fashion business. This space organized eight years ago with the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, achieved that about 8,700 face-to-face assistants will be updated on how brands and business models evolve from consumer behaviors; knowledge that was reflected in 17 conferences and 12 workshops that were also transmitted to 6,000 people via streaming, thanks to the official channel of the Telemedellín Fair.
The Trends Forum, was responsible for sharing knowledge about lifestyles for the Autumn-Winter 19/20 season according to Inexmoda-Fashion Snoops, had 16 conferences that updated the visitors of the Fair. Finally, the Prospective Forum, a novelty for this edition of Colombiamoda 2019, allowed 900 visitors to have the opportunity to experiment with artificial intelligence, mixed reality and cloud computing, thanks to Microsoft, which united these experiences with creativity and technology.
Colombiamoda, special edition number 30, was an invitation to evolve and transform the industry to become one of the engines of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Fashion Week of Colombia continues to position itself as a unique Fair in Latin America that continues to add ingredients that anticipate industry actors to prepare for future trends.
