BEYOND THE PAGES” SEEKS TO TRANSFORM AND VISUALISE lyric poetry into 3-dimensional textile illustrations. Based on a selection of Danish poems, the aim has been to create tactile and sensuous bodily objects by capturing the essence of the poems in addition to materiality, atmosphere, objects, and colours. Through orchestrated photos attempting to combine both visual and poetic aspects in one interrelated and abstract expression, the overall intention was to investigate how to push the traditional conception of illustration as being mainly two-dimensional as a point of departure.
