Lamborghini. The word has become synonymous with high-end style and refined luxury. From its start over five decades ago, Automobile Lamborghini S.p.A. has had a philosophy that embraces design, innovation, cutting edge technology, attention to detail, and emotion and connects to a strong heritage.
The company has always ensured that it cooperates only with "organizations and individuals who share a mission to create uniqueness; offer outstanding quality; guarantee exclusivity and authentic products; and respect the Lamborghini DNA in creating timeless pieces of art in which the brand's strength is preserved".
Founded in 1963 by Italian manufacturing magnate Ferruccio Lamborghini, the company was created to produce a fine grand touring car to compete with Ferrari. When the first Lamborghini, a 350 GTV, debuted at the Turin Auto Show in November 1963, it was considered a masterpiece. That car, and the ones that followed, showed the world that Bologna-based Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. was a creative force in the automotive industry.
Company lore states that Ferruccio Lamborghini used to pay attention to the people on the roadways as he passed by them. He wanted to gauge their reactions. "If they did not turn around in astonishment, the car's style was simply not attractive enough.
Lamborghini's cars were conceived to thrill not only the drivers, but also the people around as they went past. A concept that has always been a keystone of the iconic car manufacturer, and over the years it has been developed hand in hand with the general evolution of style and technological progress," company literature reports.
From the sleek lines of the cars' exteriors to the selection of leather for their interiors and the placement of everything in the cockpit, every detail has been consciously chosen with an eye for fine craftsmanship and to reflect the company's heritage.
Although the company still takes pride in producing some of the best cars in the world, over the years, the company has moved into other industries, including creating Collezione Automobili Lamborghini and participating in fashion weeks. (Their men's suits were "conceived for a man who wants to make an impression in every situation, showing off a bold outfit, defined by the cuts, the materials and the refined and innovative details".) And the company has established partnerships with renowned Bolognese leather goods company Hettabretz, exquisite footwear designer Enzo Bonafe, and luxury luggage company TecknoMonster.
In April 2017, Lamborghini announced a partnership with Italian furniture maker Riva 1920 and designer Karim Rashid. Once again, the description and craftsmanship of this new furniture line is very similar to that of Lamborghini cars and other products: "Each piece of furniture is characterized by sinuous and stylish shapes, appealing through its fine workmanship and the quality of natural and genuine materials, such as walnut solid wood and black leather."
It is the commitment to conscious design and quality that makes Welum proud to announce a sales partnership with Lamborghini. In our store, you will now find branded products (shoes, journals, bags, headphones and ear buds, clothing, journals and fountain pens) bearing that famous bull or Taurus.
